Bernard Morrey, MD
Chairman, Tenex Health Medical Advisory Board

Dr. Morrey is also Emeritus Chairman and Professor of Orthopedics at the Mayo Clinic and the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He has served on the board of governors of the Mayo Clinic and is past president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).

Dr. Morrey is past chairman of the board of trustees of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.

He is a Fulbright Scholar and has authored four textbooks and over 300 peer-reviewed articles.

Mederic Hall, MD

Mederic M. Hall, MD, is a sports medicine physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of tendon disorders and other sport related musculoskeletal problems. He is an internationally recognized expert in diagnostic ultrasound imaging and ultrasound guided procedures and is the Director of Musculoskeletal and Sports Ultrasound at University of Iowa Sports Medicine. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has been an invited presenter at over 50 national and international conferences.

Dr. Hall is a team physician for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, the US Ski Team and USA Triathlon. He regularly volunteers his time and expertise in the care of Team USA athletes across multiple sports including coverage of international competitions. He has also served two terms on the Board of Directors for the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) and is the current Chair of the Sports Ultrasound Committee for AMSSM.

Dr. Hall completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He then went on to complete his Internship, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency, and Sports Medicine Fellows at the Mayo Clinic.

Levon Nazarian, MD

Levon N. Nazarian, MD, FAIUM, FACR, is William E. Conrady, MD Professor of Radiology and Vice-Chair for Education at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He is the Director of the Jefferson Ultrasound and Radiology Education Institute. He has co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 100 abstracts on topics including the use of ultrasound to diagnose and guide innovative treatments for musculoskeletal conditions such as tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many others. Dr. Nazarian has given almost 500 invited lectures and scientific presentations at more than 150 meetings in 25 states and 8 countries. He has served on the editorial board of numerous journals, and from 2011-2018 he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was only the third editor in this prestigious publication’s history and under his leadership the journal grew significantly in both size and impact factor. In 2017 he was awarded the Joseph H. Holmes Clinical Pioneer Award by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, a society for which he is now President-Elect.

Lewis Freed, DPM

Dr. Lewis Freed specializes in foot and ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle reconstruction, limb salvage and minimally invasive tendon repair. He received his doctorate in podiatric medicine from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency with a focus in multiple areas, including reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, foot and ankle trauma, diabetic and insensitive limbs and pediatric foot disorders. Dr. Freed is a board-certified foot and ankle surgery Diplomate by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Freed has been named a PHOENIX Magazine “Top Doctor” numerous times.
